2.4 Sample Submission. The customer accepts responsibility of providing a sample from the dog named and detailed on the sample submission form and the accompanying samples return envelope; any inaccurate results that arise from this clause not being followed and/or adhered to are not the responsibility of Petagenics Canine Genetic Services. The customer will not submit samples of any dog that is known to, or suspected of carrying an infectious disease.

Petagenics reserve the right to use the DNA extracted from your sample at the discretion of Petagenics in cases of, but not limited to, disputed results, client misconduct, or suspected fraud. We will notify you if DNA cannot be successfully extracted and will send you a new sample collection kit at no extra cost. Once testing is completed, we will notify you that you may download the Test Results from the Site. Normal Test Results do not exclude inherited mutations not tested in these or other genes that may cause medical problems or may be passed on to offspring. Because all Tests performed are DNA-based, rare genomic variations may interfere with the performance of some Tests producing false results.

If you think these results are in error, it is your responsibility to contact, via email, Petagenics immediately for further evaluation. In the event of a valid dispute of results claim, Petagenics will do its best to resolve such a claim to the customer’s satisfaction. If no resolution is possible after investigation by Petagenics with the cooperation of the customer, the extent of the customer's sole remedy is a partial refund of the fee paid, less any costs associated with the investigation.

Any claim must be asserted within 60 days of the report of the test results.
